Yay!! My items from SHEINSIDE came !
So as a slight introduction, sheinside is a Chinese wholesale online retailer. A wholesale store is very similar to an outlet store in which the inventory is not created by them but rather supplied by places that either manufacture in the same location or have a overabundance of items they cannot sell so thus they give away for a much lower price for the store to resale. This is why you can often find name brand clothing very cheaply in places such as Ross, Marshall’s, TJ Maxx, etcetc. This is because they ARE the same items but the original store either has too much stock or the season where the item was supposed to be in has passed and thus they have to get rid of the rest while still making a profit. The difference between an outlet store and a wholesaler, which sheinside is, is that outlet stores get inventory after retailers and a wholesaler gets it before the retailer. I can’t be entirely positive but if I were to make a guess, I believe this is why sheinside gets updates daily and likewise runs out of inventory quickly and does not restock often. This would also explain why one could find unlicensed clothing items other stores (Such as Boy London or Disney) are known for. This is because the manufacturer in China, who gives to the big name (or small name) retailer, also gives the clothing item to sheinside. To define it better, an answer taken from yahoo answers:
"A wholesaler is the middle man who purchase the products in huge amounts at great discounts and then distribute among the retailers at good prices..lots of manufacturers supply minimum complete pallet loads, and prefer it to give the distributors only. the cycle goes like this:
Manufacturers-Wholesaler-Retailers and Customers.”
So hopefully this explanation will clear up exactly what sheinside is and how it operates.
Okay so! The two items I bought were:
The sweater is a dead ringer for the image on the website! ^0^ The print came out wonderfully. The material is very soft and comfortable and the material is thicker than a t-shirt would be but thinner than a sweater would be. So I would wear it in the winter where I live for college but layered with a shirt underneath or a full jacket over it. :)
My 2nd sweater I was the most excited for. Like mentioned, it was a sweater I saw in multiple storeenvys but always priced in the $30’s in regards to price excluding shipping. So I was happy when I found the exact same sweater on sheinside for much cheaper with free shipping! :D
The colors are not as pastel as I thought they would be. They are very bright and vibrant like rainbow, which, while not what I was expecting, is still pretty amazing considering they’re printed on black fabric. The print is chipped a little but I honestly expected that considering the print painted on incredibly thick. So while they’re chipped now, how thick the print does not have me worried about the print fading between washes
Like the Barbie sweater, the material is soft and nice, thicker than a normal shirt, but not thick like a sweater would be. Still a very lovely item!
